  • Mental/cognitive impairment:
When the game Final Mix is started and you’ve selected New Game you only have to select the difficulty and it starts with an easy tutorial. Every time a pop-up comes with something new you can read it at your own speed and continue when you are done. The font is predominantly big and bright. The Menu’s are simple and clear. It’s an easy game where you sometimes have to gather some things like logs or fight enemy’s. The graphics looks a bit cartoony and there’s no blood so I wouldn’t consider the fighting traumatising.

    Physical impairment:
The controls can’t be freely remapped nor can the sensitivity be adjusted, only the way the camera moves is adjustable. The same buttons used in game are used navigating the menu. There are no strange combo’s ingame.
Playing the game with one hand on a playstation controller is impossible. But if you have your own one handed controller it would be possible to play this game on the PS3 using Titan One: http://game-accessibility.com/2015/10/22/titan-one/

    Visual impairment:
Kingdom Hearts isn’t playeble without vision at all, you wouldn’t be able to find things or hit your enemy’s. Being colourblind is not a problem playing this game. Enemies, powerups and things you interact with are pretty clear, big and well visible.

    Hearing impairment:
The entire game contains subtitles when someone speaks, or when you get tips from the game. I wouldn’t consider the audio very important to the game.
